Overview
Creative Calendar
The Creative Calendar is available in three sizes; 20x28 cms, 28x35 cms, and 30x30 cms. The calendars are spiral bound and printed on durable laminated card stock. All designs are available in all three sizes. Choose from layouts displaying between 1-15 photos, and add photos and captions to dates to mark special days such as birthdays, anniversaries, and more. Choose between 12- and 18-month calendars, and start any month.
Collage Calendar
The Collage Calendar is available in three sizes; 50x75 cms, 40x50 cms, 27.5x35 cms. Feature up to 30 photos on a single page collage calendar. The calendar is displayed on the left or on the bottom of your collage. The Collage Calendar is printed on high-quality photo paper.
Create a Creative Calendar
To start creating your creative calendar click on the "Store" tab, then choose "Calendars" from the list on the left or from featured products. On the following page click on the featured Creative Calendars image or link.
Shop by design or shop by size
When you begin to create your calendar you have two options: Choose either "Shop by design" or "Shop by size" to get started.
Shop by design
- Find the design you would like to use for your calendar and then click the link below the design to select it.
- To see more design options click the "See more designs" link at the right. You will choose the calendar size later.
TIP: Move the mouse-pointer over the designs to see background choices
- Once you have selected a calendar design, choose the size from the drop-down menu on the following page.
Shop by size
- Choose from three calendar sizes: 20x28 cms, 28x35 cms, and 30x30 cms. To select a size click the link below the calendar size you would like to create.
- On the following page choose calendar design by clicking the design previews.
Select calendar options
Once you have selected the calendar size and design you will be taken to a review page. When you are happy with your options, click the "Create this calendar" button.
Select a Starting Month
Choose a starting month from the drop-down menu. Select a month up to
one year in the future.
Select 12- or 18-Month Calendar
Choose between a 12- or 18-month photo calendar. Please note that there is a difference in price between the 12- and 18-month calendars.
Review your choices
You have the option to change the size and design you have chosen for your calendar. Just click the "Change design" link. To upload new photos for your calendar click "Upload photos".
Select Photos
- On the following page, click the "Get photos" button under "Your collected photos" to select photos for your calendar.
- You will see a list of your albums on the left. Click on any album to see the photos previewed in the middle section.
NOTE: You can select photos from your friends' albums or photos from your projects by clicking and selecting from the drop-down menu
- To view your photos larger or smaller, drag the toggle bar below the photos to the left or right.
- You can either click the photos you would like to select or drag and drop them into "Your collected photos" on the right. Click "Add all" to add all photos in the album, or "Remove all" if you change your mind.
NOTE: To remove individual photos once they're in "Your collected photos", point mouse over the photo and click on the "X"
- When you are finished selecting photos for your calendar click the "Done" button. You can always add more photos later.
NOTE: If you would like to have your calendar automatically created with the photos you have selected check the box "Autofill using these photos" before clicking "Done". If you have selected more photos than the calendar can hold you will get the option of using autofill with just some of the selected photos or to cancel and create the layouts yourself.
Create Page Layouts
- At the bottom of the page you see two tabs: "Layouts" and "Backgrounds". These two controls give you layout and design options for each page of your calendar
- To change a photo layout for a page, click the "Layout" tab. Choose how many photos you would like for your layout by clicking "1 photo", "2 photos", and so on. Then drag the layout you prefer onto the photo page.
NOTE: Magic layouts are a fun way to rearrange a page. Just select a normal photo layout, then drag and drop up to 15 photos into the photo area. Once you have selected photos for the whole page click on "Magic layouts", and then drag one of the magic layouts onto the page in the calendar. Your photos will magically rearrange themselves. If you don't like the new layout just click the "Undo" icon at the top of the page.
- A caption box will sometimes be part of the design. You do not have to write anything here, your calendar will be printed without the box on the page if it's left blank.
- To change the background for a page, click the "Backgrounds" tab. The first selection of backgrounds you'll see will be from the design you chose when you started making your calendar. To select a background drag and drop it onto the preferred page.
NOTE: You can select background designs from different designs by clicking one of the design names above the designs or selecting a group of designs from the drop-down menu on the left.
Place Photos and Edit Pages
- Drag and drop a photo from "Your collected photos" onto an available photo slot in the calendar.
- To remove a photo from the calendar, either drag and drop another photo on top of the old one or point mouse over photo and click "Delete".
- To edit a photo in your calendar point mouse over photo and click "Edit".
- In the photo editor pop-up window you can rotate, add effect, zoom, control brightness, enhance colour, flip, and remove red eye. Click "Apply changes" to save.
- If you don't like your changes click the "Revert changes" link to revert to the original photo.
- Point mouse to any page in your calendar and an option bar will pop up. You can add or remove pages, add or remove caption, shuffle photos, and move captions.
- To shuffle photos, point mouse over a photo and click on "Shuffle photos". This will create a "Magic layout" with the photos on your page.
Write Captions
- Some page layouts include space to write captions. These spaces appear in a box usually below a photo with "Add text". Click the box to open the caption editor.
- Here you can select font, size, colour, and how you would like the text to be aligned. When you're satisfied with your caption, click "Apply changes".
NOTE: The maximum number of characters allowed will depend on the font and font size.
Customise, Add, and Import Dates
- You can add your own photos and captions to any day of the year. Click on the day you'd like to personalise and a small pop-up will open.
- Drag and drop your photo into the box and add text in the "event" field. When you're finished, click "Done" and your date will be automatically customised.
- To remove a photo or caption from a date, click on the date you want to edit. Then, delete the caption in the text box and/or click the "X" on the photo.
- Add multiple dates by clicking on the "My dates" button in the middle of the top row and choosing "Add / View events" from the selection. This tool allows you to add new events, edit events or delete multiple events.
- To import dates from a previous calendar you created click on the "My dates" button and select "Import dates". This tool allows you to view and select events from previous calendars and to add them to your new calendar.
- Add national holidays by clicking on the "My dates" button and selecting "Holidays". Select a set of holiday dates to add to your calendar. You can always delete or edit individual holidays on your calendar later.
Overview of All Pages
- On the right hand side of the calendar application there are two icons. Click these to change how you view your calendar.
- Click "View all pages" icon for the all page view. Here you can move photos around to a different month. When you move a photo the two will be switched.
- Click on "View 2 page spread" to continue working on your calendar.
Control Icons
There are 10 icons running along the top row of the calendar application, the list below goes through these in detail.
- Save - Click on the save icon often to save your calendar. Your calendar will also be automatically saved at regular intervals.
- Undo - Click this icon to undo an action. You will get a list of recent actions to choose from, choose one or more actions to undo.
- Redo - Click this icon to repeat an action taken or to if you change your mind about an undo-action.
- Autofill - Create your calendar automatically with your selected photos. Use existing set of photos or select new ones.
- Preview - Flick through your finished calendar as it will appear when it's printed. It's very important you do this carefully before ordering your calendar.
- Order calendar - Click to order your calendar. If you have not filled all available photo slots you will be given the option of completing your calendar or continuing your order.
Save Your Calendar
- You don't have to complete your calendar in one session. If you prefer, you can save it and return at any time to work on it again.
- Simply click on the "Save" icon at the left in the row of icons at top.
- When you save your calendar you will be given instructions on where to find the saved calendar if you return at a later date.
- To return to your calendar, go to your photo library by clicking the "Photos" tab at the top of most screens.
- Then click "Owned projects" under the "Projects" menu in the toolbar to the right of the page.
- Under "Your saved calendars" click on the calendar you would like to continue working on.
Preview Your Calendar
- After you've completed placing your photos and editing your pages, it's time to preview your calendar.
- First, click the "Preview" icon towards to right of the row of icons at top.
- On the following page, use the buttons at the bottom to page through your calendar. You can also use the drop down menu to take you to a specific month.
- When you're satisfied with your calendar, click "Order calendar".
Order Your Calendar
- After you've previewed your calendar and made final changes (if necessary), it's time to order it!
- First, click the "Order calendar" icon at the right in the row of icons at top.
- On the next page you will see a summary of your calendar including size, how many months, and price. Select quantity by clicking up or down on the arrows.
- You must then check the box "Yes, I have reviewed my calendar(s)". If you would like to make changes at this stage click the "Edit calendar" button.
- Click the "Add to cart" button to purchase your calendar.
Create a Collage Calendar
To start creating your Collage Calendar click on the "Store" tab, then choose "Calendars" from the list on the left or from featured products. On the following page click on the featured Collage Calendars image or link.
Choose Collage Size
To select your collage's size, simply check the round button next to the collage size you want. If you change your mind, you'll be able to go back and select a different size before checkout. You'll be able to preview your collage on the next page.
If some or all of the photos you've selected are too low-resolution for a particular size, a warning with an orange triangle

will appear next to one or all of the available sizes. You will still be able to order your collage as-is, but we cannot guarantee that your collage will be of the highest quality.
To ensure the best quality collage print, we recommend adding more photos to your collage or removing the low-resolution photos.
Add a Title
If you'd like to add your own title at either the top or bottom of your collage, check the round button next to "Yes, I'd like to add a title." (You will actually write your caption or title on the next page.) Once you check the "Yes" button, a drop-down menu will appear so that you can select whether you want your title at the top or bottom of your collage.
If you don't want to title your collage, check the button next to "No, I don't want a title."
If you change your mind, you'll be able to either add or remove a title before checkout. You can preview your collage on the next page to see how your title looks on your collage.
Select Photos
- Once you've decided on your collage calendar options, it's time to select your photos. You can display up to 30 photos.
- Under "your albums" click on the year then album name and select photos from the preview section in the middle. You can select photos from different albums to be displayed in the same collage.
- When you have selected the photos you would like to use for your collage click the "Continue" button.
Finish Collage
On this page, you can choose your collage's border size and colour, enter your title, and preview your collage. If you need to make any changes, click on one of the links under "Need to make changes?".
Once you've made your selections or changes, enter the quantity you'd like, check the box next to "I have reviewed my collage," and click the "Add to cart" button to proceed to checkout.
Shuffle Photos
If you don't like the way your photos are arranged on your collage click the "Shuffle Photos" button to make changes to your photo placement.
Choose Border Colour and Size
The photos in your collage are separated by the border Colour that you choose, on a background of the same colour. The border size determines how much space is between each photo.
You can choose from 14 different Colours for your collage background. To do so, choose a colour from the swatches below the title "Border colour." When you pick a colour, you'll see the background change in the preview image on the left of the page.
You can choose either a thin, medium, or thick border size by choosing an option from the menu underneath "Border size." The default size is thin, so if you change the border size to medium or thick, it will change the way your photos are arranged in your collage.
Enter Title
If you choose to add a title to your collage, you will be able to enter it on this page. To enter your title, click on the "Click to add title" link that's in either the top or bottom margin (depending where you choose to locate your title).
A new box will pop up, and you can enter your title on up to two lines. Then, choose your font style and colour from the drop-down menus, and click the "OK" button once you're finished.
NOTE: Background colour and title colour cannot be the same, or your title will not appear on your collage.
You can make changes to your title by clicking the "Edit title" link under "Need to make changes?" on the lower right side of the page.
Make Changes to Collage
If you would like to make changes to your collage, click on the "View options" link underneath "Need to make changes?". You'll see a list of links for making changes to your photos, add a title, change size, and shuffle photos.
Low-resolution Warning
If some or all of the photos you've selected are too low-resolution for a particular size, a warning with an orange triangle

will appear. You will still be able to order your collage as-is, but we cannot guarantee that your collage will be of the highest quality.
To ensure the best quality collage print, we recommend adding more photos to your collage or removing the low-resolution photos.
