Order prints: Overview

You can order high-quality, professionally developed prints of any photos in your Snapfish account, whether from digital pictures you have uploaded or friends' albums shared with you. You can order 15x10 cms, 12.5x17.5 cms, 20x25 cms, 20x30 cms and Wallet print sizes.

Prints are available with a gloss or matt finish on high-quality, professional photographic paper.

You will find the 'Order prints' button is in the upper right of the photo library, album view, or photo view pages under the 'Photos' tab.

As you add prints to your order, this information is saved in your cart. A summary of your cart contents appears in the grey area labeled 'Your cart' on the left side of the photo library, album, and photo view pages. To see the details of your order, click on the 'Edit cart' link in the grey area. Or, from most pages on the site, you can click on 'Your cart' in the upper right corner of the page.

Note: You can change your order at any point before you click on the 'Buy now' button during check out. You will not be charged until you click on 'Buy now'.


Order prints from your photo library

  1. Click 'Order prints' in the menu on the right side of the page.
  2. Click on the album you would like to order prints from, then click 'Open this album'.
  3. On the next page, click on each photo you would like to order. To select the entire album, click on the 'Select all' link.
  4. Click the 'Choose these photos' button. The photos will be added to your shopping cart.
  5. Single 15x10 cms prints will be pre-selected in your cart, but you can easily adjust the size and quantity of the prints in your order.
  6. In your cart, you can also select the finish (gloss or matt) and paper type for your prints.


Order prints from an album

  1. Click 'Order prints' in the menu on the right side of the page.
  2. Click on each photo you would like to order. To select the entire album, click on the 'Select all' link.
  3. Click on the 'Choose these photos' button. The photos will be added to your shopping cart.
  4. Single 15x10 cms prints will be pre-selected in your cart, but you can easily adjust the size and quantity of the prints in your order.
  5. In your cart, you can also select the finish (gloss or matt) and paper type for your prints.


Order prints from photo view

If you are viewing an individual photo, you can add prints to your cart without leaving the page. Your order information will be saved in your cart until you are ready to check out.

Here's how to add prints to your order from an individual photo view:

  1. From an individual photo page, click 'Order this print' from the menu on the right side of the page.
  2. At the top of your photo, you will see a message like 'This photo is in your shopping cart'. This indicates that we have added a print of this photo to your shopping cart.

    Note: This is for on-screen display only. It does not alter the digital file or the resulting print.


  3. The cart summary on the top right side of the page will update automatically with the contents of your cart.
  4. Continue to use the Snapfish site until you are ready to check out.
  5. When you are ready to check out, click on 'Your cart' at the very top right of the page.
  6. You will be taken to your shopping cart. It will show every photo that you have selected for prints, with a single 15x10 cms print pre-selected. You can order any quantity of any size print by changing the quantity numbers in the fields provided.
  7. In addition, you can select the finish (gloss or matt) and paper type for your prints before completing your order.
Note: You can change your order at any point before you click on the 'Buy now' button during check out. You will not be charged until you click on 'Buy now.'


Your cart

Your cart holds your orders for prints and photo gifts. Any merchandise you add to your cart is saved there until you check out or remove the items from your cart.

A thumbnail of each photo you have added to your cart will be displayed to the left of the quantity boxes. Type a number in the boxes to adjust the quantity of each size. After adjusting quantities, click the 'Update total' link to see your updated subtotal. If you would like to remove a photo from your order, click on the 'Remove' link under the photo. This will remove the photo from your print order (but not from your account).

Print Preview: Click the 'Print preview' link under a photo to see how it will appear when printed in different sizes.

There are 'Quick Order' drop down menus at the top of the 'Prints' section of your cart. There is one menu for each size print:15x10 cms, 12.5x17.5 cms, 20x25 cms, 20x30 cms and Wallet. These menus allow you to quickly and easily order multiple quantities of a certain size for every photo in your print order.

When you click on one of the boxes, a drop down menu will appear, allowing you to choose a quantity for that size. For example, if you click on the '15x10 cms' menu and choose quantity "4", every photo in your order will change to indicate that you are ordering 4, 15x10 cms prints. You can use this option for any print size in your cart by clicking on the appropriate link. To clear the quantities of a particular size, click on the print size menu and choose "0".

If you would like to order prints of photos that are not yet in your cart, click on the 'Add more photos' link.

A yellow triangle next to a print size indicates that the photo is too small to make a high-quality print at the selected size.

Any credits that apply to this order are listed in green below the prints. The order total at the bottom of the page includes postage and packing. Tax [GST] is included in the price of the merchandise.

Near the bottom of your print order total, you will see a section called 'Photo finish'. Choose the paper type you would like. Prints are available with a gloss or matt finish on high-quality, professional photographic paper.

Your coupons do not appear in your cart. You will have a chance to enter your coupon code during checkout.

When the correct sizes and quantities of all the prints you want to order are displayed in your cart, click on the 'Update total' link to view your subtotal. Then click the 'Check out' button to continue. Please note, you can change your order at any point before you click on the 'Buy now' button at the end of checkout. You will not be charged until you click on 'Buy now'.

Clicking on the 'Empty cart' link near the bottom of the page will remove all prints and photo gifts from your cart. When all of the prints you would like to purchase at this time are in your cart, click on the yellow 'Check out' button at the bottom of the page.



Checking out for mail orders

  1. On the 'Billing and Shipping' page, select your shipping method and the address to which you would like your order shipped. If we already have your address, it will be displayed on this page.

    To send your order elsewhere (e.g., to your office, to a friend) without changing the main shipping address for your account, select 'Ship to another address,' then enter your alternate mailing address.

    Tip: We will ship your order to you, or to anyone you specify. All items in a single order must go to one address.

  2. If you have a coupon that applies to your order (for example, you are ordering 20x25 cms and you have a '10% off 20x25 cms coupon), type the coupon code in the box labeled 'Coupon #'. You can also select special offers like a second set of prints. When you are finished, click 'Continue'.

    On the next page, enter your credit card information and billing address. If we already have this information it will be displayed on the page. When all of the information on this page is complete and accurate, click on the 'Continue' button to review your order before placing it.


  3. On the 'Review and place order' page you have a chance to check your order one last time before placing it. Check your billing and shipping information. If you need to change anything, click on 'Edit billing' or 'Edit shipping'.
  4. If you want to add additional prints, or remove any from your order, click on 'Edit prints order'.
  5. When the information on this page is complete and accurate, click on the 'Buy now' button to place your order.
  6. You will see a receipt for your order. Print or save this page for your records.
  7. Click on the 'Back to photos' button to return to viewing your photos.
Sending prints to other people

When you send prints to your friends or family, they will receive the prints along with a list of the package contents and a letter indicating that these prints are a gift. The order list and letter do not include any price information.

Note: You do not pay for prints that your friends or family members order on their own. When you share an album with friends or family, they create their own Snapfish account before viewing your album. When they order prints, they will be asked to enter their own credit card information.



Checking out for photo counter orders

Where available, it may be possible to pick up your order at a local store. Prints picked up at a store may be more expensive than prints mailed to you. If so, your order total will change once you select your choice under the 'Pick up and ship options'. Please note, free credits may not apply to orders that are picked up in a store, as this varies by retailer.

On the 'Pick up or ship' page, select 'Pick up prints' and enter the required address information

  1. If your desired retailer is available for you to pick up your order, that store will appear in the list of available retailers. Select your desired store and click 'Continue'.
  2. Next, select the specific store location where you would like to pick up your order. Be sure to note the address for your reference.
  3. If you have a coupon that applies to your order, type the coupon code in the box labeled 'Coupon #'. When you are finished, click 'Continue'.
  4. Enter a phone number where we can reach you if there is an issue with your order.
  5. On the 'Review and place order' page you have a chance to check your order one last time before placing it. If you would like to change your pickup location, click on the 'Change location' link.
  6. If you want to add additional prints or remove any from your order, click on 'Edit prints order'.
  7. When the information on this page is complete and accurate, click on the 'Buy now' button to place your order.
  8. You will see a receipt for your order. Print this page and take it to the store with you when you go to pick up your prints.
Click on the 'Back to home' button to return to viewing your photos.

Frequently Asked Questions: Order prints

How do I return/get a refund for a print order?
If you are not satisfied with a reprint or enlargement, we will send you replacement prints or refund your money. If you request a refund, the credit card you have on file with your Snapfish account will be credited for the amount of the refund.

Are my prints going to look like the picture on my computer?
Actually, they will look better. When we print your photos, we use the high-resolution versions of the photos stored with your account. As a result, your printed photos should appear cleaner and more colorful than what you see on your monitor. We will display a warning for any photo that may not produce a good quality print, and you can click the 'Preview' link under each photo in your cart to see how it will appear when printed in different sizes.

What does the yellow triangle mean?
In your cart you may notice a yellow triangle next to one or more of the photo sizes (15x10 cms, 12.5x17.5 cms, 20x25 cms, 20x30 cms and Wallet). This is a warning that print quality at that size may not be as good. To avoid ordering a low quality print, we recommend that you do not order a print size when a yellow triangle appears next to it.

Can I order reprints in a matt finish?
Yes. You may select matt or gloss in the 'Print finish' section of the shopping cart. The finish choice will apply to all prints in your order.
